Schedule a consultation call with us. If an evaluation is the next step, we will contact you promptly to arrange a comprehensive speech and language evaluation.
Once a formal evaluation is completed, the evaluating therapist will discuss the results with you and determine if therapy/intervention is needed. The therapist will outline the plan of care, including the frequency and duration of treament, provide recommendations, and suggest any supplemental assessments.
Speech therapy sessions typically range from 30 to 60 minutes. We encourage families to be fully present and active participants, depending on your child’s goals, developmental level, and unique learning style. At the end of each session, the therapist will discuss the skills and strategies used and how they can be practiced at home.
During the initial consultation call, we will determine the best location for the initial evaluation. This evaluation will help us identify where therapy will be most beneficial for your child. Our therapists provide evaluations and therapy in daycares, private schools, at home, or in mutually convenient locations when appropriate.
The frequency of therapy sessions at Bright Star Speech Therapy depends on the individual’s specific needs, evaluation results, and treatment plan. Typically, sessions are scheduled one to three times a week, lasting 30-60 minutes.
We do not currently accept insurance; however, we can provide a superbill upon request, which your insurance may or may not accept for reimbursement. You will need to contact your insurance to discuss options for ‘out of network providers,’ which includes Bright Star Speech Therapy. We are a private-pay practice and accept payments in the form of cash, credit or debit card, and Zelle.
